This story was on our local news the other day.
HSHV Seeks Information On Dog Torture Case in Chelsea "Two dogs owned by two different neighbors were playing together in the morning when they went missing. They were found, about 8 hours apart on the same day, severely injured. Both were picked up by the Humane Society of Huron Valley's Rescue Department and immediately taken to the Humane Society of Huron Valley Veterinary Clinic. Unfortunately, after extensive treatment to save them, both had to be humanely euthanized due to the severity of their injuries. Necropsy results from Michigan State University show that wounds were intentionally inflicted with a hatchet while the dogs were bound". I don't know what would lead somebody to do something like this. I just can't understand how somebody could inflict this much pain and suffering on an animal. I know that if it was my dog and I found this person, I'd be sitting in jail too for what I did to him/her!

I hate to ask this, but if the dogs were together playing, was anyone watching them? Not to downplay what happened, but when I have a neighbors dog playing with my dog, they are never unsupervised. How did that happen? It is horrible and I can't imagine what the owners are going through, so please, don't slam me for asking how that happened. For some reason, I can't get to the link to find out more.
