Default Stolen puppies in MA

LAST NIGHT, Wednesday March 16th the Animal Shelter Inc. of Sterling, MA at 17 Laurelwood Rd in Sterling MA was broken in to. The kennel door was kicked open and a total of 9 PUPPIES all recovering from surgery were stolen from the shelter.

These puppies were all rescues from the South where they were facing euthanasia due to overpopulation and were already adopted through the Dedham Animal Rescue League.

All of these puppies were spayed/neutered recently, making them easy to identify. Some are being treated for additional illnesses and other medical issues and desperately need their antibiotics.

My guess is teenagers who seem to go crazy in the springtime. Just watch your local newspapers at this time of year.
Before we got Abby, we came very close to getting a puppy from that shelter, it is one of the better ones.

I'm continuously amazed at how despicable people can be and how worthless life, any life, is to some. I hope the pups are found healthy and safe

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away.

They probably stole the puppies so they could sell them. Despicable. Some of them will most likely die due to being deprived of their medications or unforseen complications from their surgeries. Hope the police are monitoring Craig's list. Most likely will turn up there.
