The irony is that point post was very, albeit sarcastic. Yikes, if OP can't handle my though out response....yikes.

Living causes cancer-- DNA replication errors cause cancer, and they become more likely to occur the longer cells are replicating or the more copies (of copies of copies of copies) are made. Not all replication errors are able to get to the point where they result in cancer but the more there are the more likely they may get to that point.

I completely agree with Chicagocanine. I once talked to an oncologist who said that if everyone lived long enough, then everyone would die of cancer. Granted, there are lots of things that people do (or expose their dogs to) that may increase the likelihood of getting it, but I have yet to see adequate evidence that microchips have a direct causal relationship with cancer. Both of my two are chipped and I don't have any concerns about that. My mother-in-law's massively obese, unmicrochipped, senior cockapoos are much more likely to get cancer (as did her last obese Golden) than my healthy, microchipped GSDs.

Both of the linked articles referenced studies that had no control groups(!)...which means they are useless. Can there be a link?---I don't know but these studies sure don't provide evidence.

I know a Vet Tech who was goofing off with another Tech at work. He's now been microchipped...I'll let you know if he gets Cancer.

I don't believe the chip would cause a problem with an mri, my dog Logan was chipped and received a mri.

I would actually be interested in chipping myself. I've read about the possibility of chipping people, with being able to bring up full medical history in an emergency. Invisible alert bracelet! I have a complicated health history and am at high risk for aortic dilation and dissection. I have an information card about my rare disorder in my wallet, but no bracelet yet because the ones with the service of detailed history are too expensive.
