Hi all, I am new here, and only been in the GSD world since 2009. I am attaching pictures of my boy, Rommel. He is 23 months old. I would like to get opinions on my dog, both his overall appearance and conformation and his lines. Here are 3 pictures of him. I am trying to decide if, once he passes his health clearances and has a working title, if he is breeding quality. Here is the link to his pedigree, please look at the dogs beyond the first page before evaluating him, as there are NO titled dogs on the first page, and really not much information at all. I am not seeking praise of this dog, I did not buy him for breeding, so it is no great loss to me if he is merely altered and lives as a family companion. I just want some honest evaluations of him

Interesting pedigree....looks like for the ones that are filled in there's older west German show lines and DDR?

Can you get a photo of him on more level ground? It would make for a much fairer critique.

I will definitely try, and I also will try to have him in stance. Probably won't be today though, since outside here is not picture taking weather and lighting isn't good inside . . . I thank you for looking!

He looks like a sable but his pigment is very light. I also like to see a darker mask. I'll leave the confirmation comments to others. Welcome to the forum!
