I am trying to properly stack my pup. I would really appreciate it if anyone could point out what I am doing right and what I'm doing wrong. Thanks!

looks good! one thing I see,,if you look at the pics , his front feet are a little easty/westy / straighten the feet out more,,
Looks great tho! Nice job and very pretty puppy!

I think you have done a good job stacking. Obviously not the best head-shot..... although I do love the 2nd one where he is looking at the photographer like "do you SEE what he is making me do??!"
A little easty-westy and from the point of the hock to the toes on the lh seems to angle forward.

Stack looks good, but to take the photo be inline with his shoulders
a little bit further towards the ribs

The front feet pointing outward bothers me also, but I'm not sure if he just has sloppy puppy feet, or what. I feel like if I point them in, it will torsion his ankle too much. Maybe I am just being a paranoid dad. I was pretty happy with the results since we only took 5 photos and spent 3 minutes on the stack. Next attempt I will try to center him in the photo. The hardest part is trying to get my girlfriend to understand what I want the photo to look like . She did a good job though, I wouldn't have a photo to show everyone if she wasn't such a good sport!I'll try for a contrasting outside shot next time. Both ears aren't up yet, so I won't get that attentive ears forward look. |

he may just be a sloppy puppy feet at this point,,mine was somewhat easty/westy, what I worked on, was teaching him to stay when I placed his feet in a certain position/spot..
You could try just working with his front, vs the whole stack..what I did, was grip the front leg right above the foot, and place it straight, and work on having him 'stay' for a few secs...when he "gets" that "stay" means don't move your feet ) move on to setting up his front and then go to the rear legs....have FUN,,he's a nice looking puppy )
