Default breeder help around nyc for a puppy?

Hi all, I've been looking around the site for a while and looking online but honestly trying to find a good local breeder to get my puppy from. Does anyone from the area have any suggestions? I'd really appreciate any help, thanks very much.

Type? Do you mean worker vs show? If so, work. I definitely have no plans to show him. Color wise, classic black and brown.

show is a type or "flavor" of gsd. your lifestyle and what you plan on doing with a gsd should determine wether you would want a dog from a showline, german or american or a working type gsd. sounds like you need to do a bit of research about the gsd breed. choosing the wrong type is a recipe for disaster.

Before you call or talk to any breeders, you need to really read up and spend time ---> How to find a puppy! with so many breeders having dogs with poor temperament/health and the addition of the expensive health problems in the breed we need to know BEFORE we see that cute adorable puppy that steals our heart... what a nightmare the adult dog may grow into!

Plus all the pet store puppies coming from puppy mills...
