North Georgia Breeders?

Looking for a reputable breeder in the Georgia area or driving distance in the Southeast. Not interested in American showlines, leaning towards the East German lines, I think. Looking for a good family dog and interested in doing some training. Would prefer a dog that has enough drive to teach but, has a nice off switch and can settle down in the house. I like the sable colors and would like to stay around $1500. Thanks for any input.

Von Der Sauk

Put Von Der Sauk in your browser. They are in South Carolina and I highly recomend them.

Thanks, I'll look them up.

I just sent Shannon a deposit on a pup due next month! I'm super happy with everything I've seen and heard so far! I can't wait!!:D:D:D

What type of dog do they expect from your litter?

I'm expecting a working dog. I don't know how much or how far I want to go with competition, I have a full time and sometimes over full time job. But I do want to train and go in that direction. And have a dog who can do the work. One thing Shannon told me about the dogs, this litter is expected to be very solid dogs. It's a well bred litter and should be a great all round addition here for my family. When I started looking for pups, there were some items that were musts for me. I wanted a working dog, not a AKC confirmation dog. I wanted European lines, I've not been impressed with the "American" lines. And of course, all health checks, OFA/Hip and elbow clearances. More than anything, I want a solid healthy pup. It sounds from your description we were looking for about the same in a dog.

Thanks for that information!
