Breeders in England (United Kingdom)

Hi, I am new here and live in London, England.

I have been a German Shepherd fan all my life and owned 2 of them in my childhood. I am in my early twenties now and have been looking to buy a GSD puppy for a while. However almost all the UK breeders that I have seen online have had dogs which I find undesirable. I do not like a dog with a sloped/roach back (slight slope is acceptable) and would like to find a dog breeder who conforms to von Stephanitz's original standard.

Can you guys help me in finding good breeders in the UK? Preferably near London, but willing to travel.

Thanks.

Contact the board member, Vislor. He is in the United Kingdom and should be able to help you.

Try Mayanser Working German Shepherd Dogs UK | Schutzhund | Working Dogs

upon further reading, I find this on their site, RIP http://www.mayanser.com/for-sale

Thanks for the suggestions. So are Shepherds with working lines the only ones who remain to the original standard?

Also most UK websites I visit have dogs which look like this:

I was wondering if the hunch and slope in the back was because of the way they stack the dogs, or if it is what they always look like?

Hi.

We breed exclusively titled IPO dogs and are making efforts to meet the basic Korung breed survey standard for our litters in the future.

Our stud male, Vongalanberg Kai, was the first Working German Shepherd born in in the UK to achieve Koerklasse 1 and has also gone on to win the Great Britain World Championship Team Qualifier and came 7th in the 2012 WUSV World Championships, the first British Dog to come in the top 40 at an international IPO trial.

Unfortunately we only breed on a very small scale, about 2 litters a year.

We've just had a litter with Vongalanberg Kai and our German import Nikita von der Mohnwiese, though all of those puppies have been sold to working homes we have kept 2 males with the intention of selling 1 at about 12 months once we've decided which we want to keep for ourselves.

Heres a pic of Nikita

The next litter we're having will be Vargo von der Mohnwiese X Carlsbro Quinta, but again we've had lots of puppies booked for that litter already including 2 going to Germany.

Also here are a few videos of litters we've bred.

Vongalanberg Kai X Carlsbro Quinta 9 months

Vongalanberg kai X Carlsbro Quinta 15 months

Angsbackens Rosso X Nikita Von Der Mohnwiese 15 months

All perfect Elbows and the highest Hip score we've had so far is 6:8, which is excellent.
