OFA certified for a minimum of 2 generations with Excellent to Good ratings. Will pick up (I am retired) and will ask for references. I am in Illinois but will travel by car anywhere within the continental USA to pick up the dog; don't believe in shipping. Female long hair preferred.

Edmond, I think you need to move your post to another thread. Maybe in the "Choosing a Puppy" or Choosing a Breeder" section?
First off, Are you looking for an adult dog that has been OFA certified going back 2 generations or are you looking for a puppy?
There are many good breeders that will possibly have a long coat female available. Where in Illinois are you located? There is a good breeder that is a member of this forum, Robin Huerta with Huerta Hof. You can maybe PM her or look at her website and contact her.
I think we need a little more information though.

just remember it is harder to live with a dog with bad temperament than it is to live with a dog with bad hips.

expand your criteria in selecting a pup or dog

Other than good OFA's and long hair, what exactly are you looking for? I don't think anyone can recommend a breeder just based on those two things. Temperament? Activity level?

Temperament: Protective but not over protective
Intelligent
Alert
Focused (eyes tell the story)
Good with children and the elderly
Preferably black and red
On the larger size
Healthy parents and grandparents with no congenital defects
As young as possible for proper socialization and training
Would like to observe activity among siblings
Would be with me 24/7

what is your lifestyle , what are your expectations, what is your experience ?

get to know the breeder - have conversations -- what is their track record , and by the way you may not believe in shipping but dogs and pups do fly out every single day -- from Europe, and all across the USA and Canada. Driving to a destination limits your selection .
