You may want to post their website so it is easier to find. If Jerry & Loretta have OFA ratings you can verify that on the OFA website. For the AKC registration, you should be able to check that out on the AKC site. If you have put down a deposit and already have first pick, I am assuming that you must have checked out the breeder and the health guarantee and contract, so you should have no more questions about that. When you get your puppy, the breeder will give you the paperwork necessary to register him and also copies of any health certificates and the pedigrees. At least that's what my Sting's breeder did. And on the website was posted the pedigrees and also the OFA ratings. All I did was wait and prepare. The breeder had also listed what food the puppies were on and that a small bag would be coming with the puppy along with a collar and leash. So I stocked up on food, toys, lots of paper towels and enzyeme cleaner and read "The Art of Raising a Puppy" by the Monks of New Skete. I also arranged for time off from work for the first week after the puppy arrived. For the questions you are asking, it seems to me that you could be having second thoughts either about the breeder or the litter. If so, now is the time to consider before you get the puppy. If all goes well , you are looking at a ten year committment or longer, so if I were you and had any real doubts, I would rather loose the deposit than go ahead. If the timing isn't right for you or you have second thoughts about that litter, you could always say you want your deposit transferred to another litter sometime in the future. Many breeders will do that.
