South Carolina Breeder

Hey guys I was told to move this thread down here to see what yall have to say. I am looking ... obviously... for a GSD in South Carolina. This dogs purpose will really be to be a guard dog and a pet. I still have no idea what specific type to get and that would be greatly appreciated. I have no plans to do shows or anyhting like that. I just need him to alert me at night and to possibly track a deer or two way later in life. Thanks so much for any info.

I don't know anyone personally, but if you go on www.germanshepherddog.com and go on Info, then go on either Breeders or Club List, you might find someone there that can help you out. You first really need to know which of the many lines your looking for. Show or Working. Are you a very active family? Also check out the breeders references, and if you have some kind of connection with the breeder. If your not feeling right about a breeder that your talking too, then walk away. If the breeder doesn't do any health tests, walk away. Basically, if your getting any red flags at all, run!!!!
