Although rescues, we've had people fly in from Cali, over from N. Carolina, down from Alaska, and drive from as far as British Columbia and even S. Dakota.
If they can get here (and their home checks go well) they can adopt from us

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Keefer was shipped from Portland Oregon, and Halo came from Connecticut and was shipped out of Newark.

I live in Arkansas. Got the last pup from Oregon. Flew out and flew her back. When I was in Wyoming, I got a pup from Oregon. Drove out and drove back.

I live in Michigan...when I get a pup it will be from Illinois....so not too far away, as long as Chicago is not terrible :-)

Not crazy at all!!! I've had people drive from Canada, Iowa, New York, Virginia, etc, etc, to pick up their puppies here in Michigan... We haven't had to ship a puppy out in 2 1/2 years, which I Love b/c I hate to have to ship them out, but will if it's necessary.

Although we are a rescue in WA state we've had people drive over from as far away as S. Dakota, British Columbia fly in from California, a few folks even flew in from the east coast (N. Carolina and Connecticut) to rescue our dogs and pups
