Hi,
I'm new to this forum. I have wanted a GS for years and now I'm finally ready for one, but when I began searching for a breeder I became disappointed at my options. All I found are two extremes: backyard breeder/puppy mills or extremely expensive show/work quality dogs. I am looking for a dog that will be a family companion. My main concern is that the dog is healthy. I don't care if the dog is or isn't perfect show quality. I want to avoid backyard scammers, but I'm also not interested in getting a dog from top breeders because I'm not planning to breed or show or do competitive training with the dog. Does anybody have advice in helping me find a middle road in my search for a healthy companion animal. Thank you |

Witmer-tyson imports in Menlo Park.
From Bay Area, know breeders there.
