Based on their website, they look like a family breeding their pets. Nothing regarding working or showing their dogs. Nothing regarding health checks. They're mixing show lines and working lines - which isn't a bad thing if you know what you're doing. Not particularly impressed.

You know, this is just my opinion. But when a breeder's big claim about their stud dog is that it includes a certain dog, and that certain dog is 4 generations back in the pedigree. . . . and his name is misspelled on their home page. . . . it's just a turnoff to me.

If you like the look of their dogs, at least ask about hip/elbow and health certifications. I don't see any listed on their website, and they're not in the OFA database, but maybe they used a different certifying body.

Especially when that dog is pretty common ancestry in a lot of WGSL dogs. I wouldn't exactly call Ursus in a pedigree rare. They even spelled the dog's name wrong on their website.

They seem more worried about big blocky heads and shoulders, rather than temperaments and health. This concerns me.

They're also doing pretty close linebreeding on both Duke Vom Ertel Haus and Retlapi Cecil (3-3 each) with this breeding.

I'd be curious as to what's the reasoning behind that. I'd also want to find out as much as I could about those two dogs.

The word 'mediocre' comes to mind.
