Default help please bloodline

I am looking for a working line pup and trying to find a breeder. I contact breeders and its the same store. (talk about how great the bloodline is and how the dogs have the best drives and good nerves.) When I look into the bloodlines they have many dogs with sch3 etc. How can one tell what bloodline is right for them or is good one.

Have you spent much time around GSD and those from working lines? I would get out and see dogs, see them work and when you see dogs that you like find out their breeding or where they come from. That should help you find either lines you like or a breeder that you can feel comfortable buying from. Experience is what tells a person what is right for them.

lockhart52, it's a HUGE help to all of us if you go up to the User CP in the narrow black strip along the top, and then put your GENERAL location in. That way it will show up with each and every post, to the left, where my Poconos info shows up.

Have you had a chance to really look at Welcome to the GSD/FAQ's for the first time owner - German Shepherd Dog Forums <---- click that ?

Tons of great info to help you, more specifically How to find a puppy! <---click that

I've found the more I know and educate myself about the breed, and it is confusing, the more seriously the better breeders will take me when I call about their pups.
