I bought a WL pup from a top reputation SL breeder who does very well in the shows and is very well known so his name goes unmentioned at this time.
I paid for the pup on 8/20 but left him until 1st week of Oct for training which worked out well. I have been trying to get papers to register him for 3 months to no avail never mind the contract. This week I do not even get my 2 calls returned. I am getting a little annoyed to say the least. Is it me or the breeder- this is ridiculous! |

I'd just call to say I'm coming to talk to them about your puppy in general with some questions, and can pick up the paperwork at the same time. You may even want to say you are thinking about paying for MORE training if you think that the hint of $$$$ will make them more likely to show up and hand over what you need.
When you discuss this with the other littermate 'parents' were they given their paperwork?

Sometimes papers take longer, for example, if one or both parents were recent imports, they just might take longer. You want to tell the world who this is, but you have your papers in plenty of time to do whatever you want to do with them. So what is the beef? If you were that concerned about the papers, you should have never left without them. Some breeders will wait until the check clears, too; though papers are supposed to go with the dog--if they have them.
I still have to register my litter. I will and get the papers in plenty of time, but they can take longer for a number of reasons, none of which would make me think badly of the breeder.
