Puppy mill?

I saw this ** link removed by Admin at request of OP, puppy mill ** in the advertisements on this board. What breeders do these dogs come from? They make several statements that they are not a puppy mill, but I'm still suspicious. And if it is a puppy mill, why on earth would they be allowed to advertise here?

I get the exact same ad, except it's Texas German Shepherd breeders. I think it's sort of a puppy clearinghouse, where breeders and puppymills market their puppies online. I do not think it's good because you can just order a puppy with your credit card and have it shipped to you.

Holy crap look at those prices. My Czech pup, imported from the Czech republic with airfare, was cheaper than most of those pups.

WOW! I didn't even notice the prices at first. At least that will scare away many people. I worry that people will come to this site for info and see that ad...

Just given the number of puppies I see for sale, that alone SCREAMS mill. And if they're not a puppy mill, why do they feel the need to state it on their website? I've never seen that on any site, EXCEPT puppy mill sites. Not to mention I can't find a page with the parents. That's the FIRST thing I look for when I go to a breeder's site - the bitches first, then the dogs.

The board needs to make money somehow, I suppose. :/

Yup, when I'm in a dog food thread I see ads for Iams or Purina. When I made the thread about mattresses I saw Posturepedic ads. The funniest was a couple of days ago I was on one of those online calculators that estimates your body fat percentage. I accidentally put my waist and hip measurements in feet instead of inches. I was getting ads for plus-sized clothing for a while.
