I just visited a breeder and there was three different prices. One for non papers, one for papers, and one if you wanted one with breeding rights. I am just wondering if this is common practice. Everything else about the breeder was good to go. They showed me paper work, the daddy dog and just loved to talk about their dogs. All the dogs were well behaved and good disposition.

No, this is not a common practice.

Things to look for in a 'Responsible' Breeder Look through these links. They are a good place to start when looking for a good breeder. Where are you located?

Run, don't walk, to the exit! Do your research here on this forum, invest some time reading on the subject, and you'll spend less money to be much happier in the end.
