Default Help, please!

I am pretty inexperienced and would like some advice. Does anyone know anything about Valley View German Shepherds? They are from Sandy, OR

There is not much on the website and I am trying to determine whether this is a breeder that I can add to my small list of possibilities. Thanks!

Daphne (andaka here) will probably know more about them. I looked at the site, and very nice looking American line dogs

Make sure you read up on all the following links and information BEFORE you start contacting breeders. The good ones will take you much more seriously for their dogs if you know what you are talking about!

Things to look for in a 'Responsible' Breeder

Yes, I am leaning more towards the American line. I have some physical limitations and am looking for a more "mellow" drive companion dog. I don't show, do agility, schutzhund (sp?) and want a dog that would be happy in my home as well as me being happy with him!

I have previously owned Shepherds (though only my last one came from a reputable breeder.....the others were rescue types).

Hi, Have you looked into the DDR GS bloodline? I have a DDR male. At almost 2 he weighs 85 lbs. but his temperament is slow. He gets drivey but it takes a lot to get him there. I think he is awesome. He can have a baby in his face & just looks. Very social as well

American line dogs CAN be just as drivey as some of the working line dogs. Being American doesn't mean they are not drivey dogs.

Lower drive dogs are typically DDR dogs. I have one, NOT all DDR dogs are lower drive, but most are. If you don't mind having the pup shipped you can check out the kennel of DDR dogs I got Sonar (my DDR) from. I highly recommend them to people looking for more of a cool, calm, and collected GSD. They will help you choose a puppy that will be good for you life style. Not to mention the dogs are gorgeous and healthy!
