Finding a Breeder
I am trying to find a breeder in the midwest that has Whtie German Shepherds and although I've found a couple, I'd like more to choose from. Unfortunately, most searches end up in classifieds ads that someone is looking to get rid of a german shepherd with no information pertaining to the dog and that scares me a bit.
Are there any good lists of breeders of white German Shepherds that I can research? I want to ensure not only good breeding stock, but also 100% humane treatment and love of their animals. I will not support anything less. I'd like to find something with the least chance of hip problems later in life, high intelligence, and a dog that is a perfect companion for myself and my wife. Can anyone point me in the proper direction? Thank you. |

You could try www.pedigreedatabase.com They have a breeders list that you can look over. I personally don't know anyone who breeds white GSD's.

UKC would be another source, though I only see one on the breeder link:
United Kennel Club: Breeder's List Not sure where in the midwest you are, but the UKC will be hosting a huge event in June in SW, MI. http://www.ukcdogs.com/res/pdf/2011P...remiumList.pdf There will be many white shepherds represented....a good way to make contacts. You might want to check with some of the White Shepherd clubs for breeder links.
White Shepherd Club of Canada WSCC White Shepherd Club of Canada American White Shepherd Association AWSACLUB.com: Home of the American White Shepherd Association United White Shepherd Club United White Shepherd Club - Our dogs do stuff! White German Shepherd Club of America is another one. (sorry, don't have the link handy but they're easy to find on Google)
