Weight classes

So there are, "Slender", "Athletic and toned", "Curvy" and "A few extra pounds" classifications on dating sites for people to choose preferences.

As it so happens, after a little experimentation the results are repeatable! the 1st 2 are "fit" people whereas the last 2 are "gynormous" people with very intense food drives. So why is there a need to mislead people?

I went through the spectrum and settled on "Slender", the most repeatable option.

What do you mean by repeatable?

Well in engineering terms there is Guage R&R (ANOVA term), it has to do with repeatability and reproducibility. I mean if you think of a number you picture a result kinda thing while the result remains consistent with the number.

Ah I wondered if that's what you meant.

Or if you were merely trying to misspell reputable.

Of course people don't use the terms "ginormous", "fat "or "enormous appetite" on their profiles. Just like they wouldn't use the terms "jerk", "condescending", "insecure", "egotistical" or anything else. I also think that most people overestimate their physical fitness level and how they see themselves.

I have a very good friend who has been on match.com for about two years. She has the same gripe you do. She also has some really wild stories. It's tricky for sure.

Whoever opens up a dating site with BMI instead of subjective classes may be the next billionaire Everyone can choose who they want on a very objective physical index without the misleading.

Isn't that what miniskirts and hip huggers used to do? And tight jeans? Heh.

But BMI is misleading as well. Very tall ppl are many times considered underweight and short ppl are either overweight or obese...
