Don't feel sad Leslee. You are frustrated. I have wanted my threads shut down before too.

It almost sounds like he feels guilty? Was the divorce mutual or does he feel it was his fault? Alimony generally ceases when party getting it gets married. If she is bitter about the divorce, she isn't getting married for a while. I suppose he can take her to court to get things redone or get full custody.

Don't feel bad about your rant! Unless someone lives in your situation, they can't understand. I have a client with the divorce from ****. 4 years and it's still not finished, the kids are dealing with parental alienation, every time this guy writes an employee a pay cheque it costs him $500 because the courts sided with the wife for a court ordered forensic audit of the books. Keep your head up and remember, it is OK to feel angry, frustrated.

It was equally miserable.

I only ever feel crappy when the 4 week vacays to europe roll around.
I like how people are so quick to make excuses for women like this. In 20 plus years she has had no job.
In 8 years of support payment she could not find a part time to lessen the burden? Come on. Its nice when people say things like "well, she needs the support do she can put a roof over the kids head" okay lets put this in perspective-
Child support plus alimony 2500.00
Tax breaks from government (baby bonus) 600.00 for 2 kids
Having a man live in the home and pay half the bills-
She is making more then my SO so why is it okay? What is acceptable here? Its okay for him to be financially maxed bc he is a man? Its okay for him to live on the brink of homelessness? As I said before the kids are here over 50% of the time, they need a home here just like they need a home there.

K. K. I was about to bring a pint of ice cream over and some soppy chick flick so we could bash on men but I'm happy there's no need for that...

I don't really have any advice but I'm sorry you're in a difficult spot...

Hang in there!
