There are a lot of animals that I respect - like sharks. But snakes freak me out.

Anything larger/the same size as me lurking under the water. I've been on vacation to Florida, and wouldn't go deeper than 1 foot in the ocean, for I was terrified that a shark would attack me. The entire time my family was in the ocean, I kept a look-out for sharks.
Honestly, Jaws ruined it for me.

Ticks! Hands down. I live in black bear country... take a bear over a tick any time. Got a tick at a SAR training awhile ago and freaked out, called my husband to come home... it was on my back... in my back I guess. He laughed. He is from Wisconsin... I guess they have a lot of ticks there. But he did come home and pull the dang thing out. GROSS.

I have since pulled one off of Tygo. And now I am armed with tick extractors at home, in car, at work....

Creeps me out talking about it.

Snakes.
Definitely snakes. Especially copperheads and rattlesnakes.

My cousin was bitten by a pygmy rattlesnake several years ago and had to be air lifted to a hospital here. The rattlesnake was on her porch and bit her when she walked out of her front door. Yikes.

hmm I think bears, some bats, and whales are cute/interesting looking. Great white Sharks I kinda get. They have huge gaping mouths with rows of large sharp teeth and those soulless-looking black eyes. They are not killing machines like in the movies though. :-D haha Just large predatory animals like any other. I'd be careful/cautious around snakes, sharks, bears, crocs etc etc but I'm not downright scared of them. I could interact with them in controlled situations without freaking out. Can't really think of any animal that I am really scared of.

Ok. I'm ready to be laughed right off the forum.

I am totally freaked out by......MOTHS. Call 'um butterflies, monarchs, whatever. They love me and if there's one flying around it will inevitably fly right at me.

Ok. I'm going back in the closet now ;-)

Bugs!! I despise them, each and every one, I have a can of bug spray in each room so I don't have to run and get some losing the disgusting creature in the process. I have trained my terriers to kill any insect I scream and point at, I have hanging bug zappers in my barn and love hearing every creature get smoked when they hit it, I acquired a few Guinnea Hens to roam the property eating as many bugs as they can and I LOVE lizards and bats, anything that eats insects is on my team!!!
