Default Fabric refresher

Can anyone recommend a proven natural fabric refresher safe for pets? or have a recipe for one, i need to get the dog smell out of my stairs.

warm water with some washing soda, (borax)

go to the home-hardware in town and get a bag of ZEOLITE --- they have it , hang it in the staircase --

baking soda on carpeting and vacuum.

I clean my whole house with it. A few cups warm water, à cup vinegar and a drop or 2 of the good smelling dish soap. Easy on the lungs and great for crate cleaning plus safe for them

Are your stairs carpeted? Baking soda for carpet. Lemon water for tile, wood.
