Yes, I can cook things like homemade caramel cake, I can cook the chicken and dumplings and just need someone to cut up the chicken. I can cook some things, but I can't cook turnip greens stuff. I can't REALLY cook up some meals.
Step one.. ask mom and dad to give you advice or come over to show you how to do certain things. It's how I learned to cook some things specific to my family. But other than that.. the beauty of cooking and is there is SO much and so many ways to do everything.

Step 2.. Start looking things up that you want to make.. youtube has a lot of step by step videos.. and there are so many sites that go into detail on how to do certain things. And it's ok to mess things up! I JUST recently learned how to make Salmon cakes.. and they turned out awful.. LOL but now I just need to look for another recipe and try again. It's fun when you start experimenting with new things.. you learn what you like, how you like to do things, and you really learn what works for you.

Take a look at some of these..

Have mom come over and show you what she means, go out grocery shopping with her, have her prepare some food for you and write down the process , also maybe a crock pot would be ideal, shep moms right tho flour is essential and cooking from scratch it healthy.

I don't use mine much in summer. We have a outdoor BBQ grill and mostly use that in summer.

But if anyone has any good summer recipes I'd love to hear them.
