Good one!

Remember...it's never the "animal's" fault!

Yeah as a serious comment though i will say this. Bf skinner said punishment in humans is not a very effective group of quadrants compared to the other two. So not bothering with it probably isnt the worst idea

LOL this is article pretty simplified, and I don't think of my bf as an animal to train, but I guess I'd rather someone ignore my stomping and snorting too if it saves us from an epic fight over nothing. And I'm certainly not interested in placating or nagging someone else.

I would think ignoring a tantrum or positive reinforcement would still work on us though.. not gonna lie. Just like how I get certain people to stop talking to me at work.. I just ignore them when they try to make comments and get my attention.

When my daughter got married a few years ago I got her an old movie dvd as a gift.
It was "If a Man Answers". A 1962 movie starring Sandra Dee and Bobby Darrin.
In the movie the newly weds mother tells her daughter "her" secret to her own happy, healthy marriage. She gave her daughter a book on "how to train your puppy".

It works... really it does ...lol!
