In This Year of the Horse, please share in my joy

At long last (a bit over forty years!) Val has a horse of her
own again, thanks to her oh-so-generous husband who actually
said "Get whatever horse your little heart desires"!

He is a Welsh/QH and is only 14.2 hands, so nice that now
at all those lunch stops in the high country, Val won't have
to find a stump or a boulder or a picnic table to get on when
it's time to leave!

Forgive the scruffy winter coats (his AND mine!) and take
a look at Leland:

Congrats and love that bald face. I'm a sucker for Chestnut's with chrome so that's a horse after my own heart. I've been riding for over 20 years so I know how exciting a new horse can me

Ha-ha yeah, at 21 years old I could def. ride that... 61, not
so much!! ;)

Firefighter, I love the bald face, too, and it wouldn't have been
a deal breaker, but both his eyes are dark and I'm glad, they
are so pretty!

Congrats on the new horse! Love the Welsh Pony crosses. There is a Welsh/TB cross at the barn I keep my girls (A Polish Arabian and a TN Walker). BTW I am anticipating a new member of the herd in April. My Arabian, Valentine, is in foal to an Oldenburg (Don De Marco). I am excited and nervous all at the same time!
