Just a question..
I am seriously considering moving back home but am not sure how to start looking for jobs in the area I intend to move? I have tried the Service Canada/Ontario website, Workopolis, Kijiji, Monster, Indeed sites but to be honest, there isn't much on there. Does anyone know of any reliable sites for job searches and postings? Is there somewhere I can post my resume for employers to look? I would love if it was specific for Canada/Ontario but not sure if such a thing exists outside of the Service Canada website? My current employer is not one that has an office in the area I am looking to more, nor is it something I can do from home - so would need to find a new place of employment... but... I also need to make a certain amount of money (don't we all?) to be "okay". I am willing to take a pay cut, but need to still survive and pay bills and support my bad habit - dog training and the dogs. ![]() Your help is much appreciated! |

Job fair? That is what my husband did when we considered a huge move (MI to NC, FL, or TX). He got to meet people from out of state and have some impromptu interviews.

Does Ontario have anything like saskjobs.com: Saskatchewan Jobs & Employment It's not part of Service Canada or the provincial gov't.
Have you tried Job Search Canada | Job Search Engine - WowJobs, www.ontariomunicipaljobs.com, Jobshark.ca: Canadian Jobs for Career Ambitious People Sometimes you also just have to find a company you want to work for and keep checking their website for job postings. I, frankly, have never had good luck finding something on Workopolis, Monster or Kijiji. |

Yes, I have been emailing and phoning a few companies/places that I am interested in. A few have job postings but not for the positions/pay I am comfortable taking.
I will check those links - thank you! |

I strongly recommend a long term placement agency. You get hired by the company, the agency simply finds the job for you! The company that hires you pays the agency so its win- win. My experience with these agencies is positive, as you can tell

I gave the agency my preferences and they worked with me to find the perfect job. They gave me a couple options and we went from there. It was an easy process, really.
