For the past two and a half years every vacation that we have taken has been with a dog or two. (We did go to Hawaii alone but my husband's health made that trip miserable. We don't count it.) This Sunday we are spending a night at a swanky resort without our furry brethren.
I am so excited to wear clothes that have no fur on them and to carry a purse without poopbags. I'm going to go to the pool and have a delicious dinner without having a dog in the car waiting for me. I'm going to have wine and cocktails and not have to leave a warm room to take a dog on a late night potty break or get woken in the middle of the night because a dog has a nervous tummy. This place is dog friendly so if we like it, we may return with the dogs but I am really excited to have a break. Havoc and Tempest will be in our home with our son. He's having friends over to game (he's 26 so no worries) and my petsitter will come over for a bit as well. |
