Well Saturday was my surgery and I was wondering if any of you have has one. How long until you stopped hurting? It was laparoscopic. I just want to go back to work really but it is giving me time with my gsd puppy so I can't complain too much. She will be spoiled by the time I go back for sure

You had an organ removed. The doctor won't clear you for at least 2 weeks. When I had my gall bladder out, my surgeon told me "remember that you had the same surgery inside even though you had lap done on the outside"

Weeks.
I've had gall bladder, and tubal ligation and I swear, they hurt as much as the "big" surgery. My gb was badly infected though and was in for 3 days after that one. I'd say 6 weeks until things really start feeling normal. Don't try to do too much at once. Listen to your body. Pain means "stop it, slow down"! |

My sister had one and had to stay over night because she hadn't peed after the surgery. Once she peed, they sent her home. I think she was riding bikes with us outside within a day or so. She had an incision so I'm guessing hers was not laprascopic?

They won't let me come back to work until the dr releases me because they will be liable if I have any problems. They told me a month to 6 weeks. It's getting old fast but I'm still hurting pretty bad anyway. They have me norco to deal with the pain. But I've made progress training my puppy on the bright side. Thanks for the replies

I had my appendix removed years ago and I was more sick from the anesthesia than feeling bad from the surgery. I think it only took me a few days before I felt much better.
Well wishes to you in your recovery!!! |

I am feeling much better although These 15 staples in my belly are bothering me I don't get them took out until next Monday. All in all I'm much better thanks... My puppy is learning basic training. She is outstanding. I love how curious she is. She wants to check everything out. She does sit/ stay down/ stay and come pretty well.
