I don't get why headlights aren't auto. When would it be BAD to have them on? My friend used to insist DRL was all she needed and it didn't matter that she never turned her lights on....well no, maybe it depends on the vehicle but her DRL were not headlights, they were just really dim lights. I just made turning on lights part of turning on the vehicle and have never had to remember to do it.

I remember leaving a concert and waiting for the rest of our group as I was warming my car up. My auto lights were shining on the car ahead. I turned on my parking lights so they weren't blinding the people in front of me. Completely forgot to change them back, and drove all the way to the marina with just my parking lights on. The streets were lit up so I didn't noticed til I pulled into the darker parking area in the marina. Surprised I didn't get pulled over.
