Default Don't 'fit in' on this forum?

Anyone ever feel like they dont fit in on the forum??

I do sometimes..

I feel invisible on here sometimes, I mean I try and give advice when I can, i'm nice, and participate in threads and what not, but I dont know.

Maybe its because I upload too many pictures of my dog hahaha jk.

Anyways, just my random thought of the morning - off to work I go (poor Berlin is attached to my hip, thinking if he follows me out to the car, I wont notice)

You need to not just look at the responses and replies to your threads.

You need to look at the views. Tons of lurkers are on the forum so they read everything but just don't feel the need to respond.

I used to feel like that, and sometimes still do
I called myself the "thread killer" because every-time I would post in a thread it seemed like no one else did.

I'm having De Ja Vu, didn't we just have a thread like this? Obviously a lot of people feel that way every now & then, myself included, it doesn't matter, I'm not leaving, I like it here

When I first joined I really thought it was the popularity of the poster that got responses. Now after being here for a while I know it's not true, sometimes it's the time of day, sometimes it's the topic, or sometimes we have no idea what makes a thread explode with interest and posts. There really is no rhyme or reason

I feel like that on every forum I join

Rio is never mentioned on any of the "Who's dog would you dognap?" or "Your favorite forum dog" threads (or anything similar) while the same dogs are mentioned over and over again.

I actually don't know how you go about integrating yourself into a forum or how you get to know people.

I join in, post pictures and comment onn lots of threads but I never feel like I'm remembered.

Maybe you have to be around for a few years or something?

'no rhyme or reason' Ain't that the truth!

Though if you want a bunch of responses put something like 'I beat my dog and he still won't listen' in the Title

I agree , it depends on the time of day and topic sometimes. I do know that I try and post comments when I can or if I feel like I can contribute but I do feel like sometimes when I start a thread it barely gets any responses. Also sometimes if I post a reply it ends with mine??
I try not to take it personally, but I do enjoy reading this forum.

I think sometimes you have to reach our to others: send a PM to a poster you respect, write on their wall or befriend them. Go the extra mile with the ones you feel need help or the ones helping a lot..
