Help my mother through her cancer and death. She was in her 40's when she died, and terrified of death. I was in my 20's. I had looked up a lot of info about her type of cancer, and she didn't want to know anything so it was hard to pretend I thought she would be ok when I knew she wouldn't. She was stage IV pancreatic at diagnosis so she never really had any chance.

What amazingly strong people you all are. I realize that there is always something that was the hardest in one's life but many have (had) to deal with incredible hardships and losses and still find the strength to continue.

Wow. Finnick and Wolfydog articulated my thoughts exactly.
I've had deaths, but for me the two hardest things were almost losing my husband, and parenting your children at this teen stage where they can really make choices that can hurt not just them but you. The pain of knowing your child is hurting badly, of being hurt by them also is searing. I have been lucky so far, especially in the deaths dept. it's only been people who've lived a long and happy life and have natural, peaceful deaths. My heart goes out to all of you.

No kidding! Reading through this thread I was thinking of things that I could post. But I've decided that I've lived a blessed life. Partly because of the folks who post here.

Some people here have had very hard times. I am so sorry to read about all the untimely deaths people have had to deal with.
I had to kill my healthy rescue dog because he bit people. Long story short, he bit people, sending one man to the hospital. We weren't given much choice, but it still kills me we had to do that. I hope he forgives me in doggy heaven.

When I was 8 my mother decided to leave the family and go back to Japan. She told me she was leaving and made me promise not to tell my father. I knew for months and couldn't tell anybody. The hardest was watching her get on the plane and know that that was the last time I would ever see her again.
