Default Dogs and the After Life?

I talked to an old man who recently had had a near death experience after a car accident. He didn't want to go back (to his life) but dogs guided him back to the doctors. He didn't know these dogs. I double checked, "So there are dogs over there?" He is convinced because he experienced it.
I thought I'd share this here in case you were wondering about this. I find it very comforting to know that there are dogs on the other side, wherever that is. Just hope to see my long lost buddies too.

Dogs guided him back to the doctors? And he is convinced that dogs have after life? Sounds like they underestimated the extent of his injuries. Animals are just animals they dont' have "after life", sorry.

What a nice story. Reminds me of the old Twilight Zone episode where the old man refused to go where his dog was not allowed,

I remember my Grandmaman telling me that my cat definitely would be in heaven. "They are instruments of love, and love is of God -and as you well know, all artists take very good care of their tools."

Scripture isn't clear either way....but in Revelation 19, it says: “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True".

Close enough for me...and apparently Grandmaman.

This is your belief/opinion (whichever you wish to choose).

OP, thats a neat story. I'm of the opinion that animals are more than they appear to us and therefore wouldnt be surprised to "see" them wherever it is we go when we pass.

Indians believed in spirit guides which more often than not were in the form of an animal so why not animals on the other side (wherever we go) to help guide us? He just took a different path to his spirit guide it seems.

I think that they are on the other side, but I also believe that they remain with you(in spirit)

I believe your afterlife is whatever you want it to be. If you want your dogs there with you they will be

I TOO enjoyed your post.
I Too believe that I will see my loved ones (2 and 4 legged) again when I leave this world.
And "Animals are just animals" on this forum is an opinion best kept to ones self.
