Value of Pets
 

It's one thing to have a pet. It is quite another to give it purpose. This is an interview I gave back in 2007 when word got out that there was a new therapy animal in the community.

We raised two of them, actually. Our little girl, Rouba, was a food 'hound' - and could be very sloppy. I would have to follow behind and inspect my flor when she was done and came begging for more. If she'd made a mess, I would accuse, "Piggy, piggy" and she'd rush about to clean up crumbs before coming back to ask for more.
