rain rain go away!

No break last night and Beau thought I was crazy to stand in the house, throw the ball, go back in the house, wait until he returned, have him come in drop ball and repeat the process until he is a soaking wet muddy panting mess.

No breaks in the rain this morning either. Aaaaaargh. And Grim wants to chase balls but when it is wet he does not have the requisite traction (aging/back issues) so only goes out to potty.

REALLY looking forward to a week of sunshine! REALLY. I have given up on Beau-he is FILTHY. My floors are filthy but what is the point. There is too much mud to wash off without a full bath and too cold to make him stand outside with the garden hose. Can't do this multiple times a day either.

I know I am not the only one!

I hear ya!
Today was the first morning it wasn't raining or soaking wet outside. I was able to take the dogs out for a hike in the trails this morning. I wish it was colder to freeze the mud, good thing for sandy trails felt good to get out there after a week of rain.

I am also in South Carolina. The rain won't end until later tonight or maybe early Friday AM sometime ( after midnight ?). Now those in the upstate may get to see some snow. When I say upstate I mean west of I-85. My past 24 hours in rural western Newberry county I got 1.3 inches of rain and add that to the previous 24 hours of .3 of an inch. My yard is a bog.

So is mine. No snow for me - I am South of I-85 by about 5 miles and any flurries we get will melt because it has been so warm. Right now it is 53.

You are not the only one dealing with a muddy wet yard! Ours was so bad last week after the snow melted from the temp rise, then some non stop rain that my husband started to pump water out of our yard into under ground drain that dumps into the storm drains

Muddy paws, muddy towels, muddy dog, muddy paws, muddy towels....*sigh*

I would rather it be COLD and the ground freeze!

But, Nancy, don't count it out. Once the front passes the temperature will drop like a rock. You might get an inch or so, but tomorrow will warm above 45 and the snow will be gone.

I think that is what I said. The ground is so warm it won't stick in the first place. We will have black ice in the morning but schools are closed anyway for a teacher workday.
