I've got nothing but a mud pit at my house. With hubby on crutches and dogs full of mud, I walk around with towels and a wet mop 24/7.
I did have to hose down the bottom (and tail) of Hondo because of his long hair. There was just no way I could de-mud him enough to bring him back in. I was carefull not to get his entire body wet. We don't get as cold down here as ya'll up north, but to me, it's cold. I am SOOO glad that all my dogs are kennel trained. I can only do one dog at a time, so I'll de-mud one then put them in their kennel with a thick towel to help dry them off enough not to make the floors slick. Maggie normally doesn't get too dirty. But the other day she decided to romp with the big dogs and between the muddy ground and the back splash from the big dogs she was a muddy, disgusting mess. I had to put her in the kitchen sink and give her a bath. She wasn't a happy camper.

All of my dogs LOVE the water and will purposefully find mud puddles to wade and lay in if I am not careful to catch them. I'm glad it will be colder(it is winter afterall) and sunny this week.Come to think of it, my Cattle Dog is the only one who doesn't like to really messy when the it's raining outside.

I think we are going to get a break before the ice and snow start. The paths Beau runs are all full of water. It will be a cold run for him but ........ I don't think he will mind. He is getting very ansty because his dirtiness has spent a lot of crate time today.

I think it's been raining here since Monday night-ish. My yard is a huge mud puddle and it's supposed to continue until tomorrow. This is the only downside of having an all white dog. He had a bath Tuesday, then he needed one this morning after he happily ran through a mud pit.
Besides that, it's just been dreary and cold. I've not wanted to do anything but sit on my computer, watch TV, knit, or sleep. I have no energy, neither does the hubby.

Stepped outside for the last trip of the night and woot woot I can see the stars. No snow. Sure the temp will drop-not a cloud in sight, windy. Now for it to all dry out!
