My father was an airline pilot (for Pan Am and then Delta). He worked JFK to Europe, and some JFK to Japan. He would be gone for a week or so at a time. But growing up, it didn't seem bad, because when he was home, he was really home all day. My father would take me with him on trips occasionally, and it was fun. I got to travel and see things most kids don't.

I'm a licensed private pilot, nearly finished my instrument rating.

I have no idea what my dream job is. Everything I want to do usually requires that I either have to deal with people or have to work with people, which would make whatever I'm doing miserable.

I too wanted to become either an airline pilot or a corporate pilot. I only got as far as earning my commercial certificate and my instrument and multi-engine ratings.

I lost my medical certification after my heart attack over two years ago.

Veterinarian is my dream job, and I'm in the process of pursuing it. My other dream job would be an ESPN broadcaster (lol) bc I would get to interview all the sports players, but I cannot speak on public for the life of me. Other dream job is a neurologist/neurosurgeon but too much liability and WAY too much school (14-20 years)

I would do something with dogs. Not sure I'd want to be a pet class type trainer, but maybe run a small rescue, and rehab the ones that need some help before they can be adopted out.

I use to work at an exotic bird breeding facility, and loved raising baby parrots, but I would rather not supply the over-saturated pet market and instead breed the ones that were endangered or on the verge of extinction(which we did!)
Much rather work with animals than people, unless it is toddler children who are excited with learning something new every time they wake from a nap!

I would love to work with dogs OR large/exotic animals in some kind of science, like a vet. Or even be a novelist, I would really enjoy either.

Engineering(nuclear or Biomed) or medicine, though I'm still up in the air whether the crushing debt of med school is worth it in the long run. Both jobs pay very well, so I'm majoring in engineering and completing my pre-med pre-reqs.

I enjoy working with people, although more times than not its a pain. I want to be able to work in a field to benefit the general public.
