anyone know what happened to Shepherd Central?
 

Just wondering.

No one from Shepherd Central posts here too? I know I have seen people here.

I assumed the board owner called it quits. Kind of wish there was some sort of heads up...not a high traffic site but a lot of good members that I have lost contact with. It seemed like after Mike left....which I always found odd the board really started to slow down. It really does appear like most of them didn't know about this board or they would have joined to share their GSD.

I was wondering why Mike disappeared. One can only guess why.

Kim (that board owner) is a member here but doesn't post much so she probably won't see this.
I was a member of SC and saw the decline and was very sad about it.
Mike (also a member here but hasn't been here in years) simply disappeared. Attempts to contact him went ignored.
My fear is that something happened to his beloved Enzo but that's just a theory.
Once Mike was gone, an admin only stopped by every so often, maybe every few months if that.
The site was overrun with trolls and spam. When I said something about it, I was trashed for it by the admin who showed up, so I left as well.

My guess, since the site was only being used by a few people, Kim shut it down and sold the name.
Sad, it was my first GSD forum after I got Gunner. I learned tons and made a few close friends from it.
RIP Shepherd Central.

I was surprised to hear that it was gone. I remember when Mike disappeared, and figured that he'd eventually show up again but he didn't. I hope nothing happened to Enzo, but that thought did cross my mind.

I didn't post there a lot, but I'd check in and read posts every few months.

I could be wrong, but wasn't Shepherd Central one of the spinoffs from this board? Seems to me that, when I stopped by to check it out (quite a while ago), there were a number of names that I recognized from here. I don't think I ever joined, because I can only keep up with so much.

Linda, I also thought something may have happened to Mike's boy Enzo as well & it was just too much to bring to the board so he just walked away for good. He was very welcoming to new members & a hoot to have on the board.

I met a lot of you 1st on SC. I miss it :(

I liked SC, my first dog forum. Wonder how Kim, Mike and Brandy are doing? Hope all is well.
