Are these threads you started for yourself? Or questions you are asking within another thread?

I think that sometimes questions get lost because so many people are arguing in a "hot" thread. I know exactly what you mean though. I ask questions, get two responses that have nothing to do with my question and then it's gone. I do most of my own research or ask privately now. It's very frustrating. We have a vast amount of knowledge on this board and many of the people who really know the answers, won't answer anymore because of the garbage that happens. It's very sad.

This is a pretty good board, full of really nice people......YES...there are a couple of "sharks" swimming here and there.....but other than that....a pretty good board.

Hang in there......it really is worth hanging out here and asking for advice.
Sometimes ya gotta *shout it out!*....but eventually, people hear your questions and comments.....

As others have said, don't take it personally. It really doesn't count how popular or how many posts you have. It really comes down to having people with experience who see it and take the time to answer

I know for myself I don't normally go beyond the active topics, so I might see something and mean to comment but I might not have time and forget

I know! It is really sad. Yeah a lot of threads are ones I started myself. When I first joined the forum, I used to post loads of stuff, but then I kind of got disheartened by the lack of interaction. So I went away for awhile, got a second GSD, and now that I'm back, I'm still kind of invisible. (Or at least I was. Until I posted this thread. haha!)

I've been a lurker here for a very long time and gotten such a wealth of info on here which has been brilliant. I always do a site search for literally any question I have in my head regarding my dogs and there almost always has been someone before me whos asked a similar question. So the wealth of info is definitely there. Sometimes I've had to trudge through a lot of other peoples drama to find my answers though. Which is why I think it would be nice to have a bit of good, non confrontational banter with people on my own threads too. Like right now. Thank you for giving me the time of day!

I love my dog and think he's something special, doesn't mean others do. I'm okay with that, but sometimes I think "geez, what did I do"?
