4, because it starts turning dark, but there is still a sense of the innocence of childhood.

The first because I was so amazed by the world that the writter had made. Fell in love with Harry and his freinds. so the first was the book that drew me in and had me buying the rest in hardback because I could'nt wait to see what happened next. Also loved that she had my grandsons wanting to read.

#3. I can't really say why but I have a feeling it has something to do with having a werewolf and a dog animagus. I want to be able to shapeshift into a dog.

The last one, it was just so different from all the other books... I was completely engrossed in it for a few days until I finished it, lol.

The Half Blood Prince

The storyline just captivated me, and the suspense was awesome! I thought as Tom Riddle's story came to life I might feel sympathy for him but nope, bad to the bone

Half Blood Prince, also my favorite movie. I know the movies are already pretty long but I wish they would have focused more on the psychology of Tom Riddle and how his downfall was not because Harry himself defeated him but because he refused to acknowledge magic that he didn't think was important (for example the house elves and Kreacher's role in stealing the horcrux). I feel this one of several very significant themes that no one would really pick up on if they didn't read the books several times and only watched the movies.

ETA: Forgot to say why I like it....I think all the exchanges between Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginny are hilarious, I like that Dumbledore is heavily involved (he's one of my favorite characters of all time), and I like that it's LONG!
