Creative people - need help with colour!!
 

I am a huge fan of loads of colour in my living space. I've repainted my living area three main colours - blue, green and purple. I have a bookshelf that is against the wall (I've included a pic) and I am trying to decide what colour to make it. It was dark wood, I put a coat of red on some of it ... don't like the red.

I need some suggestions ... I don't really want to do it in one of the three colours, I'm looking for some contrast. Also, I will do stenciling on it, so if you come up with two or more colours, that's fine.

I'd probably go with black or white...

white like the feathers

White for sure.

I'd say black and if you're going to stencil go with white or use a color from the wall. I love it by the way.

I would do it that blue shade that is between the pink and green colors, with the edges and feet done in black. But I kind of have a bias since I like everything in blue and black, heh.

EDIT: Actually I like all of these 'white' suggestions better!

Stencil in the blue on your wall to coordinate. (See the swatch in the link to see how it looks with a very similar blue.)

ETA: Or pick up one of the darker stripe colors between your three panels.
