How Did You Find The Forum?

I was doing a google search and came across the forum that way. I thought it would be a good place to join since I do have a lot of GSD who come through the rescue.

When we got Gunner in Nov 2008 I found a GSD forum called Shepherd Central. It was a very friendly and informative forum. The people there helped me so much with my first GSD.
Over time there were some not so nice people who got away with a lot more than they would have here. It ruined the friendly vibes we had there and membership slowly died down. Even though the trouble makers were axed, the damage was done.

I liked being apart of a forum so I also googled and found two. This one and another that was similar and even had some of the same members. I didn't like the look of the other forum. This one seemed more user friendly. I lurked for a bit and then joined.
As for Shepherd Central, when the only mod/admin that was regular disappeared I knew it was only a matter of time. There was just so much spam and nobody minding the store. I stopped posting and shortly thereafter the forum was closed for good.
I got a few very close friends that I wouldn't have met if it weren't for that forum.
I like it here though and plan on staying.

I asked the same question when we had a huge influx of new members when the board changed ownership. I wondered how the new board swept them all in.
I really don't remember how I found the board, probably searching about HD and stumbled onto this one.
I never, ever went on discussion forums before this one(though I did have my dogs on dogster), so I didn't know the protocols, etc with forums! I hijacked a thread with my first post about hip xrays. I learned real quick what not to do after that!

I was doing cross references to behavior issues I was having with Kaylee. I was hunting for ideas to try since she is different. I found a lot of information here and every search I did the forums popped up on the first page. So I started digging around and decided to join to compare notes, ideas, and discussion topics.
