I did a search and couldn't find anything on this subject, if this is a duplicate then please remove this thread!

if you use the app called Instagram. I would suggest you delete it ASAP. I found an article on CNN stating that as of Jan 16, 2013 instagram will be changing their terms of service allowing them to sell your photos without your consent or any payment to you, this unfortunately included minors!!!

I found an app called Eyeem it states in their terms of service that your photos belong to you and will not sell them for any reason. so far it's just like instagram, but without the whole sellin without your consent part.

I use photoshop, but the reason I used Instagram was instant, easy photo storage from my phone. Shame it's being like this now.

Yep, me too. It really doesn't have much to do with the effects but more the "insta" for me, use of only a cell phone and posting directly to FB. Just kind of a fun toy thing. Oh well, there are a boat load of other free programs/apps out there that will give me what I want. In fact, I already have 2 other programs on my cell that will do this.

Pain will be saving the instagram photos to my flickr or something. BTW: Looks like flickr has a new free app. Might have to check that out.

I'm not a big fan of Instagram, but with all the outlash they're getting from this, I wouldn't be surprised if they changed this policy.

I downloaded the Instagram app a long time ago and never got around to using it. Oh well, guess I'll just delete it!

I can post pictures to FB from my phone without any other apps, and sometimes I want to edit my cell phone pics before posting them anyway, so I often just email them to myself and then open them in Photoshop and save to my computer.

Yep, Flickr is the only site where I upload photos, save for maybe a half dozen in my Facebook (that I usually delete when I change my profile again). I actually pay for their service. I like that the photo license is on the page. Not that people pay attention to it but when I file DMCA violations they have always gone in my favor within 24 hours when it's pretty clear my photos are *mine*

apparently the co founder of instagram stated that everyone read the TOS wrong and that they're not selling users pictures. riiight I still deleted my account.
