My bf is a super computer nerd
He said for under $350 get an ASUS Transformer He said or you can pay for an "iWasteMoney Pad". I had to repeat that. Made me laugh so hard. Drives him nuts I have an iPhone and iPad. I like my iPad, use it for my business. But I recognize its shortcomings.

ahh I see why its more expensive now, he has the older version. The Transformer Prime. So that one should run cheaper. He isn't sure if they are still on the market though. He recommends the transformer though. It has a bigger screen than the iPad

Thanks for the recommendations! I'm hesitant to go with Asus, because both boyfriends I've had in the last year had Asus laptops that crashed unexpectedly and fatally... They just don't strike me as very reliable. BUT... I think I'm going to best buy this afternoon (if they're open) or tomorrow to play around with a few. I just need to make sure they have a fast browser (which the android didnt..) a spreadsheet program of some sort, camera, good business/appointment planner, AND the pages app for Facebook, which I'm worried is only available on the apple products. ;(

All of the things you want on your tablet are apps that are interchangeable no matter what tablet you get. Do you have requirements for the megapixels of the camera? The androids offer a variety of browsers to choose from, one of its perks. I enjoy dolphin because I can turn off mobile browsing.
What about this ? Newegg.com - ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T Tegra 3 16GB 10.1" IPS Tablet - Champagne Gold If that's not enough memory you can buy a micro SD card
