Prayers for Sandy Hook Elementary...
An elementary school near where I grew up, and where a good friend of mine is a teacher, has had a shooting. There's not a lot of information aside from three injuries (supposedly children) and apparently one death (the principal).... it just happened about an hour or so ago. I can't believe it... an elementary school. It's in a very affluent area. They have huge police k9 teams out searching for the suspect.

why? I just will never understand why they kill children.

It's so sad that these types of things are happening in our schools and in movie theatres and malls.
I really hope that your friend is ok and my thoughts and prayers go out their community.

They told the parents NOT to come, because the shooter is still at large and they're trying to do k9 sweeps, but they came in droves anyways and are having a hard time searching...
wait: the principal is NOT dead, the shooter is..... (sorry, listening to the live feed) |

I can't say I blame them for coming. I assume they set up barricades and are keeping the parents at a safe distance...if there is any such things as safe.

The reporting is terrible... they're interviewing parents for factual information. One parent said "my friend told me the principal died" so they started reporting that the principal was killed, when he was in fact not.... saying that children were shot, when nobody knows, etc. I can't believe they're reporting hearsay with something like this.

News organizations are terrible. They go with the first reports to get the jump on everyone else. The principals family must be in terror right now.

Now they are saying twenty kids shot?!?! If twenty kids were shot and three people were transported that is NOT good news, I hopehopehope that is just a rumor/miscommunication....
