She is ok,but is still trying to process everything,like everyone else. The most unnerving part for my sister and brother in law was the waiting to see what news they would get. These shooters need to go and kill themselves if they just can't deal,and leave innocent people alone.

Paul-- I was thinking the same thing, it's very close to my home town. It's one of those things you'd never think "could happen here"... especially in that area.

This is what's showing right now:

A 24-year-old man dressed in all black carrying two guns killed 26 people -- including his mother and 18 children -- during morning announcements at a Newtown elementary school on Friday, NBC has learned. The massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School is one the worst school shooting in American history.

The shooter, who NBC News has learned is Ryan Lanza, 24, is dead inside the building, according to state police. Whether he shot himself or was shot by police is not yet known.

NBC News Justice Correspondent Pete Williams has learned that the alleged gunman's father was found dead at a home in Hoboken, New Jersey.

NBC has also learned that the shooter went into the school, where his mother is a kindergarten teacher, fired shots in the front office and then in the kindergarten class.

He is a hero in my books. Thinking of others at the time his life was being stolen. A very heroic gesture.
