Default Christmas Cookie Vote

Along with my yearly frosted sugar cookies, gingersnaps, chocolate crinkles and of course, chocolate chip, two other recipes caught my eye.

Eggnog cookies

Or Candy Cane cookies

The Candy Cane ones look prettier, but the Egg Nog ones sound tastier.

Eggnog. It just sounds like a cookie you'd eat with a cup of hot chocolate in front of the fire.

Peppermint cookies sounds like a cookie you'd eat before you go out and shovel snow. Too much work for me.

Eggnog for sure- and I don't even like eggnog. But that sweet/sour taste of eggnog should compliment the doughy goodness of a cookie pretty well.

I make candy cane cookies but my recipe is different and doesn't have the peppermint (I hate mint). But I still use the dye and make them into candy canes. It's hard because it's a very dry, brittle sort of dough, hard to roll together and then bend without getting a bunch of cracks. I made some earlier this week but just made round cookie shapes....it tastes the same after all!
