I conceal carry everywhere I go for EXACTLY this type reason!
This is how I feel too.
If something like this happens and I survive it, I don't want to be hiding under a table saying "dang, I wish I'd brought my gun"

EXACTLY! To me this is why we have the second Ammendment right (NOT GETTING POLITICAL AT ALL I PROMISE). this kinda stuff would not have been tolerated in the wild wild west and shound't be tollerated now... So this coward goes in a mall killing some injuring many and getting to kill himself in the end? NOT if I am there... There will be gun shots, a few injured and if I can help it only one dead, the guy with the AK! I am not going out all John Wayne and wanting to shoot people, in fact I pray I never again have to pull my weapon (have had to take out my concealed weapon 2x so far but never use it) let alone actually use it but IF it ever comes down to a crazy man's life or my family... he loses 100% of the time!

Can't carry a weapon at all here in DC. At all. So if anything like that happens here oh well!

2 dead plus the gunman...

I don't want this to turn political - I just think it's immensely sad that on what should have been a joyous day out shopping and getting ready for Christmas, now there's two bodies in the mortuary and at least two families (probably many more) grieving

Another reason my DH and I carry every time we leave the house. You just never know where the nut jobs are going to pop up these days. I cannot imagine the pain the families of the deceased are in. God Bless them.

Just what everyone needs before the holidays... if he was suicidal why not just shoot yourself at home preferable in the bathtub for easy clean up...
