Thank you everyone, all those thoughts and prayers are truely appreciated. I know we'll get thru this. Coming here helps keep my sanity a little. Thanks again.

Oh my, this seems like a lot for you to handle at one time. Hopefully a nurse or doctor can refer you to a support group. As much as I feel sad for your husband and Goo, the caregiver has huge strain.
This is very controversial, but if conventional medicine is not working well you can look into this: Gerson Institute Gerson diet and therapy. Sending caring and supportive thoughts your way. |

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this for your husband and little Goo. I think Goo came into your life for a designated purpose from the Great Spirits. I know the holidays are a tough time but maybe you can make this one special knowing that special times will be limited. May your good memories way outlast the bad. My prayers for you, your husband, and little Goo will continue for as long as you need them.

I agree with those who feel Goo entered your lives for a reason ... destiny ... not sure what to call it, but believe it exists. Sending lots of warm thoughts and prayers to your husband and Goo.

Hi everyone. I just thought I'd give an update on whats been going on. My husband has gone thru test after test and unfortuantely we just learned he is now stage 4. The stomach cancer has metastasized to his liver which seems to be the normal progression of cancer. Surgery is not an option at this point. He begins chemo tomorrow for a minimum of 8-12 months and then we will see how his body responded to the treatment. I still firmly believe it was caught early and he is strong so he will fight.
Our kitty, Mr.Magoo aka Goo, who has a cancerous mass in his intestines, is still doing very well. He has a great appetite, plays and is still acting 100% himself. Back in November the vet didn't give him much past February. We keep going about our daily life and keep everything as normal as normal can be, except for the 800lb gorilla in the room with us at all times. Please keep my husband in your thoughts. Thanks!

You, your husband, and little Goo are all in my talks with the Great Spirits. May you find some happiness however you can. I still never understand why bad things happen to good people or animals.

kiya, I'm so sorry your all going thru this
![]() Just wanted to share this, a good friend of mine has a kitty, who was diagnosed with intestinal cancer almost 2 years ago,,he was only around 1.5 as well..They gave him a few months to live. Well I have to say, it's been 2 years, and the kitty is doing FINE!,,no meds, he did have one small surgery when he was first diagnosed to remove 'something', but even the vets are amazed, you would never know he's sick! He eats, plays, acts totally normal..It sounds like Goo is doing the same My thoughts and prayers to all of you!

I read this earlier, Carolyn, but had no time to respond. I am so very sorry that you are going thru this and will keep you all in my thoughts.
If you don't know this already, get your husband on a low sugar diet. Sugar feeds cancer.
